Meet the Owner

Second Coat Painting was founded by Regan Eckhardt, a lifelong resident of Durham Region who grew up in Epsom. With more than 11 years of hands-on experience, his mission is to provide neighbouring homeowners and local businesses in Uxbridge, Port Perry, and the surrounding communities with a superior professional painting experience.

Regan’s expertise goes far beyond the average house painter. Before launching the business, he spent two years at the local Benjamin Moore store mastering paint formulations, later graduating from the Master Painters Institute as an Architectural Coatings Technologist. For our clients, this advanced technical knowledge translates directly into a worry-free, beautiful finish. Regan and his team accurately diagnose your specific surface conditions, select the precise primers and tools required, and apply industry-leading techniques, ensuring your investment looks stunning and withstands the test of time, weather, and daily wear.

Why "Second Coat Painting"?

The name Second Coat Painting reflects our true passion. While our skilled team handles all types of interior and exterior painting projects, we specialize in high-quality residential repaint jobs.

We love coming into an established home and giving it that next "second coat" - whether it’s actually the second, fifth, or tenth time those walls have been painted. For us, it’s about taking a lived-in space you already love and completely bringing it back to life with a fresh, updated look.

Supporting Our Community

We believe in giving back to the communities that we have grown up in and that support our local business. We proudly sponsor Uxbridge Rotary Club events and various youth sports teams in Durham Region. Additionally, we buy local from hometown suppliers whenever possible to keep our community strong.
